Peer Review Process

The Peer Review Process in Analit Journal serves as a mechanism for evaluating the quality of manuscripts prior to publication. This process involves the meticulous review of manuscripts by subject matter experts within their respective fields. The primary objective of this process is to assist editors in ascertaining whether a manuscript possesses the requisite qualities for publication in the journal.

  • Initial Screening: Each submitted manuscript undergoes an initial screening by the editorial team.
  • Anonymous Review: Manuscripts that successfully pass this screening stage are subsequently sent to a minimum of two independent reviewers for anonymous review.
  • Recommendation: The reviewers then provide a recommendation to the editor regarding the manuscript’s acceptance, rejection, or acceptance with revisions.
  • Final Decision: The ultimate decision regarding the manuscript’s publication rests with the journal editor, considering all inputs from the reviewers.

In essence, peer review functions as a quality control mechanism that ensures the quality of published manuscripts. While the final decision remains with the journal editor or editorial board, the peer review process contributes to the overall quality assurance of the journal’s publications.

How does Analytical Journal ensure the quality of its publications?

Upon submission, manuscripts undergo a rigorous evaluation process to ascertain their eligibility for publication. If deemed suitable, the editorial team assigns peer reviewers from the relevant research field to conduct a peer review. Analytical Journal employs four distinct peer review mechanisms:

  • Single-blind review: In this approach, the reviewer is aware of the author’s identity, while the author remains unaware of the reviewer’s identity unless the reviewer chooses to disclose it in the review report.
  • Double-blind review: In this mechanism, both the reviewer and the author are kept in complete ignorance of each other’s identities throughout the review process.
  • Open peer review: In this approach, the author is aware of the reviewer’s identity, while the reviewer is aware of the author’s identity. Upon manuscript acceptance, a review report containing the reviewers’ names is published alongside the article.
  • Transparent review: In this mechanism, the reviewer is aware of the author’s identity, but the author remains unaware of the reviewer’s identity unless the reviewer chooses to reveal it. Upon manuscript acceptance, an anonymous review report is published alongside the article.
